影响因子A biosensor is a device in which a bioactive layer lies indirect contact with a transducer whose responses to change in thebioactive layer generate eloctronic signals for interpretation. Thebioactive layer may consist of membrane-bound enzymes, anti-bodies, orreceptors. The potential of this blend of electronics andbiotechnology includes the direct assay of clinically importantsubstrates (e.g. blood glucose) and of substances too unstable forstorage or whose concentrations fluctuate rapidly. Written by theleading researchers in the field, this book reflects the most currentdevelopments in successfully constructing a biosensor. Majorapplications are in the fields of pharmacology, molecular biology,virology and electronics.
