Standardization of Gait Kinematic Data Using a Gait Symmetry Index and Fourier AnalysisIn this study two concepts are introduced for standardization of gait data. A ‘gait symmetry index’, based on the foot-to floor contacts during the walking cycle, is used as a control parameter to select a reference set of ‘normal’ data (section 2).
