Heterotrophic nanoflagellates and bacteria in sediment of a brackish water sill basin in the Baltic west in autumn/winter summer (1.1×10. cells m1.), being on the whole among the highest reported from marine sediments. Identification of small-scale structure of plankton communities of the Black and Ionian Seas by theisumed that physical and dynamical factors dominate in the formation of small-scale spatial heterogeneity of the studied fields.
