Non-rigid Temporal Alignment of 2D and 3D Multi-channel Microscopy Image Sequences of Human Cellsceding time steps. We have evaluated our approach based on 3D synthetic images of a simulated spherical cell with known deformation which has been calculated based on an analytic solution of the Navier equation given certain boundary conditions. We have also successfully applied our approach to 2D and 3D real microscopy image sequences.

Beam Hardening Correction with an Iterative Scheme Using an Exact Backward Projector and a Polychromby a polychromatic model to mimic a realistic X-ray device. The presented experiments use simulated CB data to restrict the evaluation to beam hardening artifacts. The discussion is focused on CB data acquired along a helical trajectory.

A New Approach for Motion Correction in SPECT ImagingIn this note we present for the first time a motion correction approach which overcomes the mentioned restrictions. The new approach is based on the super-resolution methodology. To demonstrate the performance of the proposed scheme, corrections of abrupt and gradual motion are presented.

Tracking of Virus Particles in Time-Lapse Fluorescence Microscopy Image Sequencesthe different algorithms. We have also applied the algorithms to real microscopy images of HIV-1 particles and have compared the tracking results with ground truth obtained from manual tracking. It turns out that the probabilistic approach outperforms the deterministic schemes.

Neuroimaging: SPM als verteilte Komponente in Grid- und Cluster-Architekturent wurde eine Infrastruktur zur Parallelverarbeitung der Daten mittels SPM entwickelt, die außer Matlab keine weitere Software benötigt. Es konnte eine signifikante Reduktion der Auswertezeit entwickelt werden. Das Konzept ist skalierbar und erlaubt somit in Rechnerclustern eine weitere Reduktion der Auswertezeit.
