Clinical Features of Infective EndocarditisThe present thesis deals with the general case of bending and torsion of thin walled beams of unsymmetrical section. A system of four fourth order ordinary $differential equations is presented. Closed homogeneous solutions are given and the particular integrals are obtained for some cases of loading.

Introduction,The theory outlined in the present dissertation aims at the general solution of the problem of bending and torsion of thin walled beams with open cross section. The longitudinal axis of the beam may be straight or curved. The conditions of support of the beam are arbitrary. The cross section may be unsymmetrical and variable along the axis.

Pathophysiology of Infective Endocarditisr 5 were worked out by using this program on the CDC 1604 A Computer of the Computation Centre, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich. This program is abailable in the library of the Computation Centre. A complete description will not be given here. A scheme of the program is given on the following page.
