Contamination of Firewood Taken from the Exclusion Zone of the Chernobyl NPP by 90Sr According to Dy for escape of .Sr, which initially was included in the matrix of fuel particles of Chernobyl origin. A significant difference between the .Cs and .Sr transfer factors in pine wood was shown by use of statistical analysis. The same result was achieved in a comparison of .Sr transfer factors in pine

Strontium Isotopes in Biological Material: A Key Tool for the Geographic Traceability of Foods and track food provenance. The emerging scenario is, however, more complex than expected. Recent studies demonstrate that a direct, un-modified correlation (i.e. .Sr/.Sr substratum = .Sr/.Sr plants) between bulk soil/substratum and plants exists only for plants growing on young magmatic rocks, while mo

Distribution of Strontium in Soil: Interception, Weathering, Speciation, and Translocation to Plant .Sr mobility in Chernobyl zone soils has increased significantly due to the radionuclide leaching from the hot particles matrix and poor in humus and nutrients sod-podzolic sandy soils of this region. Migration rate of .Sr in plants has also increased.
