影响因子This publication contains the proceedings of a Seminar "Beef production from different dairy breeds and dairy beef crosses", held in Ireland on April 13-15, 1981, under the auspices of the Commission of the European Communities (CEC) as part of the European Communities (EC) programme for beef production research. The CEC wishes to thank those representatives of Ireland who took responsibility for the organisation and conduct of this Seminar, notably Professor E.P. Cunningham, Dr. G.J. More O‘Ferrall (local organiser), Dr. Patricia McGlaughlin and In particular, thanks are due to Dr. McGlaughlin Mr. R. Barlow. and Mr. Barlow for their recording of the discussions. Professor Ian Gordon of the Faculty of Agriculture, kindly made available the facilities of Lyons House, University College, for the Seminar. Hydroboration and Organic Synthesisied..With the exception of the Chianina x Friesian cross, the incidence of stillbirths and the total mortality of calves was very high..The carcass value of the animals slaughtered after calf weaning seemed to be better. Piemontese x Friesian seemed to have better meat.

Synthesis of Cyclopropanes and Cyclobutanes,sbred potential breeding bulls are important..In Denmark such selection is mainly based on performance tests of growth rate, appetite and ultrasonic muscle area (600 bulls/year), and to a lesser extent on progeny tests for growth rate, carcass composition and meat quality (30 progeny groups/ year).

Hydroboration and Organic Synthesistly inferior saleable meat yield. There was evidence of price discrimination against poor shape in UK markets..It is estimated that the proportion of Holstein blood in ‘black and white’ UK cattle is increasing and a deterioration in shape in this population has been recorded.

Synthesis of Aldehydes and Ketones, g for the purebred White-Red heifers..Crossbreeding with these sires resulted in a favourable feed conversion with the male offspring..There was also a tendency for a higher dressing percentage with these crossbreds; the lower fat content in their carcass was in accordance with the better energy efficiency.
