Oscillator Strengths in N, N+,O and O+ Obtained from the First Order Theory of Oscillator Strengthsthe 2p..p-2p. 3s .S. resonance transition in O I for which the Restricted Hartree Fock (RHF) length value is .024, the velocity value .039 and the experimental value. .048. Earlier work on this transition yielded no significant change of the RHF values.

Relativistic Contributions to Transition Energies in NiI and CuI Isoelectronic Sequences,ine beams. The electric quadrupole 4s → 3d and the electric dipole 4p → 3d transitions of multiply-ionized iodine were studied in the NiI, CuI and ZnI isoelectronic sequences. The relativistic contributions to the transition energies were found to be significant in the identification of the experimental spectra.
