影响因子This volume summarizes in 16 chapters the petroleum geology ofthe Békés basin with respect to its geological settingin the Pannonian Basin. The work was accomplished by a joint effort ofthe Hungarian Oil and Gas Co. and U.S. Geological Survey. .In contrast with other books that discuss the geology of Hungary, thisvolume identifies, in detail, potential source rocks and reservoirrocks, and evaluates the maturation, generation, migration, andentrapment of hydrocarbons. The outstanding points are: (1) itssummary of the petroleum geology of the Békés basin withrespect to its structural and sedimentological setting in thePannonian Basin; (2) the identification of geographic areas,structural trends and stratigraphic zones that remain relativelyunexplored; and (3) a summary of `petroleum plays‘ with an assessmentof their recoverable, undiscovered resources of oil and gas. .This book is primarily for petroleum geologists interested in oil andgas exploration in Hungary, and earth scientists interested in thegeology of the Pannonian Basin. .
