An optical polarization survey for BL Lacs,te, forty candidates from 72 square degrees of the sky have been followed up spectroscopically. A quasar with a redshift of z = 1.42 was found. We consider it a strong candidate to be a highly polarized quasar. Two candidate BL Lacs, objects with apparently featureless spectra, were also found.
