VOC are emitted from anthropogenic and biogenicsources. Whereas our understanding of VOC emissions from anthropogenicsources has advanced significantly in recent years, there is still alack of knowledge concerning the contribution of biogenic VOC to thebudget of organic trace gases and their impact on the formation ofozone in the troposphere.
