Two-dimensional Hodgkin-Huxley equations for investigating a basis of pulse-processing neural netwod for a mesoscopic analysis and synthesis of membrane potential activities such as propagation and interaction. The proposed method will enable us to describe signal pulse dynamics by a universal method.

Concurrent parallel-sequential processing in gamma controlled cortical-type networks of spiking neu such a modular unit enables both rapid and robust recognition by utilisation of the dimension of time to encode the reliability of a decision. The model suggests a novel functional interpretation of gamma oscillations in cortical processing.

A noise-robust auditory modelling front end for voiced speech,ectors (modelling certain cell populations in the cochlear nucleus). We demonstrate that it can display a pattern of activity across the spectrum and across time that describes the energy distribution in voiced speech, and that this pattern degrades slowly in the presence of non-speech noise.
