Variations and Evaluations of an Adaptive Accrual Failure Detector to Enable Self-healing Propertied systems. This paper introduces variations of the proposed basic algorithm to improve its performance and provides an evaluation of all algorithms using message delay and loss models of the internet.

This paper introduces a non trivial improvement of the original resource discovery protocol by allowing to register and to ask for .. Simulations show that it is efficient and scalable.

As a result, a federation of distributed components can be moved and changed over a distributed system in a self-organizing manner.
