Bibliographien und Referenzwerket increased at sites where groundwater entered the stream. The spatial distribution of several oligochaete species was linked to the longitudinal arrangement of groundwater upwelling areas. This observation suggested that groundwater was an important upstream migration pathway for oligochaetes during the glacial retreat.
