On Some Approximations for the Zeros of Jacobi Polynomials,sel function .. (.). These approximations, obtained by using certain asymptotic expansions of .. (cos .) as . ∞, are uniformly valid only for the zeros lying in the interval 0 < . ≤ .. On the other hand, the inequalities hold for all the zeros.

On the Approximation of Univalent Functions by Subordinate Polynomials in the Unit Disk,alent polynomial .. in . with . (0) = ..(0) and .(ρ.) ⊂ ..(.) ⊂ .(.). Clearly, these numbers are related to the quality of polynomial approximation to conformal maps. In this note we find a sharp uniform bound for .(., .) if . is convex univalent, and discuss some related results and conjectures in the starlike and the general univalent case.
