A New Method for the Quantitative Analysis of Organochlorine Pesticides and Polychlorinated Biphenylry gas chromatography without further enrichment. The recovery at the ppb level was nearly 100% for organochlorine pesticides and more than 80% for PCB’s. The total procedure including sample preparation, steam distillation-extraction and capillary gas chromatographic analysis is carried out in less than four hours.

Improved Accumulation of Organophosphates from Aqueous Media by Formation of Ion-Associates with Tethe addition of tetraphenylarsonium chloride promotes the extraction of dimethyl and diethyl dithiophosphates from aqueous solutions while the elution of ion-associates from activated carbon seems to be promising for the accumulation of all organophosphates investigated.

Techniques for Quantitation and Identification of Organic Micropollutants by High Resolution Gas Chr study of the response of the elements C, H, D, F, CI, Br, J and S was undertaken. The relative molare response of the elements in compounds varies only by ca. ±10%. The detection limits were determined and found to be in the range of nanograms per sec.
