影响因子.An Integrative Model of Moral Deliberation. maintains that current models of moral deliberation do not effectively deal with contemporary moral complexity because they are based on an inadequate theory of moral cognition. Drawing on research in neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, social theory, and dual process cognitive theory and on the work of William James, this book develops a theory of moral cognition which provides a major role for aesthetic sensibilities and upon this theory develops a robust model of moral deliberation. This model portrays moral deliberation as a back and forth movement between intuitive and analytic cognitions, which constructs narrative scenarios and then assesses and revises them according to aesthetic sensibilities..

Dual Process Theories and Moral Deliberation, volved in those theories are respectively characterized as an experiential/intuitive process, largely rooted in biological and nonconscious elements but shaped by social/environmental factors (Type 1) and a reflective/analytic process that is formal, mathematical, and entirely conscious (Type 2). Narrative and Moral Deliberation,. It is argued that there are two ways to construct narratives: one by means of Type 1 processes and the other by means of Type 2 processes. Type 1 narratives are the most critical because they provide not merely representations of the flow of human experience, but the possibility of simulating the

A serious embrace of the centrality of Type 1 processes in decision making and moral valuation creates the responsibility of each discipline to investigate the character and impact of such sensibilities on th

Human Embodiment and Moral Deliberation, Many of these operations remain nonevident to human consciousness or are mediated into awareness through basic emotions, but the persistent denial of their impact in most of Western intellectual thought since Descartes is one source of the artificiality present in contemporary moral deliberation.

Type 1 Moral Cognition, hics under one process. This model is then applied to specifically moral cognitions to develop an aesthetic model of moral cognition that portrays moral deliberation as a struggle regarding proper aesthetic sensibilities of rightness and wrongness.
