Introduction,ibution in the field of view, or the change in distribution during a time interval are interpreted as representing specific physiologic or pathophysiologic processes. As compared to other diagnostic imaging techniques, the spatial resolution of scintigraphic images is rather poor, their temporal resolution is good.

Amplitude/Phase Imaging of Transient Phenomena: Superior Cavography,on of a dynamic series of images with sufficient time resolution. The most important limitation of first pass studies is the poor signal to noise ratio in the individual images. Quantification is therefore generally reduced to the calculation of time/activity curves within a region of interest. In that way most of the spatial information is lost.

Regional Breathing Patterns Studied by Dynamic Transmission Scintigraphy and the Temporal Fourier Ts to take these factors into account using dynamic lung imaging aimed at improving the static image quality by correcting the images for the changes which occur during respiration (1). It was our aim to take advantage of the information contained in a dynamic series of lung images by studying the breathing mechanism rather than correcting for it.
