Chemical Transformation in Plumesnsformations contribute to atmospheric haziness and discoloration, atmospheric acidity, and extended sulfate and ozone concentrations in rural areas. In addition, it is postulated that transformations in plumes contribute to brief, elevated ground-level concentrations of nitrogen dioxide.

On a Method of Evaluation of Performance of a Trajectory Model for Long-Range Transport of Atmospherith increasing interest. Studies of transport, transformation and deposition mechanisms have been undertaken and attempts have been made to model these processes.
