Understanding the moisture absorption of hybrid composites can give insight into increasing their durability and performance.

Influence of Seawater Ageing on the Physical and Mechanical Properties of the Natural Fiber-Reinfore been focusing attention to overcome the issues due to moisture absorption, with particular interest paid to the physical and chemical treatment of reinforcements and improving the fibre–matrix interface strength. Recent studies and developments dealing with moisture repellent coatings are also discussed.
