Performance Evaluation of Video Summaries Using Efficient Image Euclidean Distancees. Experimental results based on a publicly accessible dataset has shown that the proposed method is effective in finding precise matches and usually discards the false ones, leading to a more objective measurement of the performance for various techniques.

RDEPS: A Combined Reaction-Diffusion Equation and Photometric Similarity Filter for Optical Image Retal results show that our method outperforms other recently developed methods in terms of PSNR and SSIM. Moreover, the computational efficiency analysis shows that our RDEPS provides efficient restoration of optical images.

Preventing Drowning Accidents Using Thermal Camerasfall detector is implemented using a virtual trip-wire in combination with an optical flow algorithm making the system able to detect 100% of all falls and only yielding a 0.08 false positive rate hourly. The entire system has been developed using 155 h of real life thermal video, hereof 56 h are manually annotated.
