Three-Dimensional Vorticity Dynamics in the Near Wake Behind Two-Dimensional Bodiesesented, and a comparative analysis of their symmetry characteristics is given. It is shown that depending on the initial conditions the counter-rotating pairs of streamwise vortex tubes forming in the braids induce an undulation in the spanwise Karman-like vortices resulting in either an in phase or a varicose configuration.
