Lecture Notes in Computer ScienceEffect of severe plastic deformation on properties of TiNi shape memory alloy has been investigated for cold-drawn wire and cold-rolled sheet. Severe plastic deformation introduces solid-state amorphization and nanocrystallization. These microstructures lead to anomalous properties such as linear superelasticity and invar effect.
