The Mammalian DNA Damage Response as a Target for Therapeutic Gain in Radiation Oncology,function by inhibiting parts of the DDR are first presented. The various subsystems of the DDR are next reviewed, and several potential molecular targets for discovery or design of chemical modifiers that could lead novel radiosensitizing drugs are discussed.
