影响因子Recent advances in our understanding of complex compositemedia, especially chiral media for microwave applications, suggest thefeasibility of creating novel materials with unusual properties andthe possibility of constructing new microwave devices using suchmaterials. The emphasis of the book is on bi-anisotropic materials,whose most interesting feature is the magnetoelectric interaction ofthe fields. The materials are expected to supply useful applicationsin radar technology, aerospace, microwave engineering, manufacturingtechnology, etc., such as absorbers for low-reflectivity shields,reciprocal phase shifters, polarization transformers. The firstexperiments with artificial bi-anisotropic media have beensuccessfully carried out.

,Naïve Forecasting with Regression,tric, spectrophotometric and spectropolarimetric methods for the determination of optical parameters are reviewed as well. The theoretical and experimental approaches for the studies of some gyrotropic crystals and crystalline thin films are described.

Although there exists a well developed theory of constitutive relations for materials without dispersion and with temporal dispersion, we still have run into obstacles while describing system with spatial dispersion. This communication is devoted to some issues of spatial dispersion problem.

Analytics to Model Nonlinear Response,rticles. Special cases of such media: the so-called pseudochiral composite and omega composite with all the particles located in parallel planes (planar omega composite) are studied. The eigenwave problem is solved for these cases. Analytical solutions are given for plane eigenwave polarizations and wavenumbers.
