Why Knowledge of “Business 101” Mattersrpose that is objective and consensually validatable. Whether such a system need be quantitative is a moot point. Certainly, there are many who would argue that a qualitative approach to assessment can be at least as objective and as open to consensual validation as are any quantitative approaches (e.g., Luria & Majovski, 1977).
