The New Employment Relationship Model,ve to the types of sounds they use. In this chapter, I will review the characteristics of sound and sensitivity especially in chimpanzees. By clarifying their sensitivity to and use of sound beyond the distinction between speech and music, I will discuss the diversity and flexibility of auditory communication in chimpanzees.
