The Regulation of Investment Risk, cosmic accelerated expansion could have been predicted on solid thermodynamic grounds. We apply these ideas to dark energy models also with variable . and to some popular modified gravity models. Further, we argue that the evolution of the Hubble function seems to hint that indeed the Universe evolves as an ordinary thermodynamic system.
