Affirming and Empowering Kids: Creating an Independent and Comprehensive Gender-Affirming Health-Cah-care center, has been one brick-and-mortar response to these challenges. This chapter is one story about the creation of that community-based health-care center and how a dedicated group of individuals can create a symbol of hope, not just for transgender and gender-diverse communities, but for the health-care system overall.
