Cardiovascular disease(CVD), osteoporosis, and cancer -- the most common causes of death, disability and impaired quality of life for women -- can potentiallybe prevented or forestalled by dietary, behavioral, and druginterventions. A better understanding of the natural history of themenopause is critical to providing better care. If women and theirphysicians have a better understanding of predictors of risk, theycould make more informed decisions about interventions related tomenopausal symptoms, CVD, osteoporosis and gynecologic and breastcancer. Few other recently introduced medical interventions have asgreat a potential of affecting morbidity and mortality as does hormonereplacement therapy (HRT). HRT has produced effect on health risk:some are reduced, some are raised, and some uncertain, and these dataare interpreted differently by various scientific, medical andconsumer groups. . | 出版日期 | Book 1994 | 关键词 | cancer; cardiovascular; epidemiology; metabolism; prevention; quality of life | 版次 | 1 | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-011-1024-2 | isbn_softcover | 978-94-010-4446-2 | isbn_ebook | 978-94-011-1024-2Series ISSN 0928-9550 | issn_series | 0928-9550 | copyright | Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 1994 |
