The Bolshevik Menace of Anthropological Mathematics: Ramsey and Wittgenstein26. Both Ramsey and Wittgenstein came to see in 1929 that anthropological mathematics, or intuitionism, or what Ramsey called a ‘human logic’, fit better with the philosophical picture they were starting to develop. My argument in this paper is that by ‘anthropological’, Wittgenstein meant ‘human’, as Ramsey used the term.

Mathematics and Aspect-Seeing as we can re-see Jastrow’s duck-rabbit as a rabbit instead of a duck. From this position, we can examine our pre-mathematical, ‘primitive,’ sense of things, which, contingent as it is, guides the formation of mathematical practices and concepts and grounds them. I conclude by positioning my view between realism and antirealism in mathematics.
