Unicast versus Multicast for Live TV Delivery in Networks with Tree Topologyble. We show that although multicasting can usually outperform multiple unicasting in terms of bandwidth usage, due to the inherent overhead in establishing and maintaining multicast connections, in special cases, using multiple unicast flows can be a better choice.

A Multi-hop Aware Weighted Scheduling Mechanism for HSDPA and IEEE 802.11 Integrated Networkconsiders the parameters in both the IEEE 802.11 ad hoc network and HSDPA network, namely the number of hops away from the gateway, and the packet delivery error in ad hoc network. Based on simulation results, our proposed mechanism achieved better throughput fairness in the simulated scenarios.

Multiuser Scheduling via Dynamic Optimizationing problem to T separate problems do not hold in general when decomposing the problem to a smaller number of larger problems.
