Citizenship and Multiculturalism: Rethinking Equality, Rights and Diversity in Contemporary Europeious and ethnic groups living within their borders, is overdue and necessary. He asks the question: Are existing concepts of state citizenship and individual rights sufficient to cope with increased ethnic and religious diversity? This article argues they are not, pointing to the limits of the favoured model of state citizenship in Europe.
