Cavitation,hlighted the fact that heterogeneous nucleation, more readily seen in almost all engineering applications, restricts the maximum tension in case of cavitation (superheat and subcooling, respectively, in case of boiling and condensation) achievable. In this chapter, we shall extend the discussion on the response of a bubble to pressure changes.

,Condensation: Nusselt Theory and External Condensation, which is able to bring the vapour temperature below saturation temperature, condensation takes place. The liquid which is formed gets subcooled by giving more heat to the surface and hence more condensation takes place on this liquid. Thus, condensation is always associated with mass transfer.
