To this end, we introduce several topologies on decision/control strategies, for which information structures determine whether a particular topology is useful in arriving at analytical and computational methods as well as existence, compactness or approximation results.

In these two chapters, we will view information structures as design variables and study both qualitative and quantitative properties of information structures as they relate to optimal stochastic team decision problems.
