描述Stochastic reachability analysis (SRA) is a method of analyzing the behavior of control systems which mix discrete and continuous dynamics. For probabilistic discrete systems it has been shown to be a practical verification method but for stochastic hybrid systems it can be rather more. As a verification technique SRA can assess the safety and performance of, for example, autonomous systems, robot and aircraft path planning and multi-agent coordination but it can also be used for the adaptive control of such systems.Stochastic Reachability Analysis of Hybrid Systems is a self-contained and accessible introduction to this novel topic in the analysis and development of stochastic hybrid systems. Beginning with the relevant aspects of Markov models and introducing stochastic hybrid systems, the book then moves on to coverage of reachability analysis for stochastic hybrid systems. Following this build up, the core of the text first formally defines the concept of reachability in the stochastic framework and then treats issues representing the different faces of SRA: • stochastic reachability based on Markov process theory;• martingale methods;• stochastic reachability as an optimal sto

Introduction,is monograph, and its importance in the framework of hybrid continuous discrete systems that exhibit randomness. Furthermore, a short description of each book chapter is provided. From the beginning, it should be clear that stochastic hybrid systems and their reachability problem constitute a resear

Markov Models, cremental way the necessary mathematical background for understanding such complex systems. The chapter starts with discrete and continuous-time Markov chains. In this book, a Markov chain is understood as a stochastic process with the Markov property (or memoryless property, i.e. its future evoluti

Stochastic Hybrid Systems, the elements are randomised. Concretely, the continuous evolution is described by specific stochastic differential equations and the discrete evolution is governed by specific stochastic kernels. Necessary assumptions regarding the existence of solutions and non-Zeno executions are also imposed. Th

Probabilistic Methods for Stochastic Reachability,e techniques are based on the use of operator semigroup, infinitesimal generator and associated quadratic form, reduced function and balayage operator, Newtonian and Martin kernel, and properties of martingale associated to the stochastic hybrid process. Analytic Methods for Stochastic Reachability,al stopping problem, obstacle problem and exit problem). These methods have to be adapted such that we capture the interaction between continuous dynamics and discrete dynamics, which is characteristic to a stochastic hybrid system. This interaction is illustrated mainly by the structure of the infi

Statistical Methods to Stochastic Reachability, tochastic reachability analysis, the first step is to express reach set probabilities as imprecise probabilities. The main idea is to use the connection between stochastic reachability probabilities and Choquet capacities. The latter concept is widely used in decision theory and robust Bayesian infe
