New Results on SET-Oscillations in One-Dimensional Arrays of Tunnel Junctionsbe dependent on the coRC product and the type of microwave coupling used. Gate modulation gave sharper steps, and the sharpness and symmetry of the steps could be altered by applying a dc voltage to the gate electrode. The influence of the background charge is discussed.
