COVID-19 and Autoimmunity, Kawasaki disease, and Alopecia areata have been linked with COVID-19. Additionally, autoimmune diseases have been linked with the increased risk of severe illness and mortality after SARS-CoV-2 infection. Therefore, understanding the pathophysiology of COVID-19 associated autoimmunity can aid in management and treatment of COVID-19.

Microorganisms in the Pathogenesis and Management of Crohn’s Disease (CD)aim of this chapter is to provide insights on the gut microbiota-mediated pathogenesis in CD patients.
