A New High-Resolution Flux-Corrected Algorithm for the 1-D Euler Equations of Gas Dynamics, scheme compared to its parent schemes is evaluated using standard one-dimensional test cases involving shocks and other discontinuities. It is shown that the new scheme performs better at capturing shocks and other steep gradients without violent oscillations and inaccuracies of its parent schemes.
