Chinese Students’ Perceptions of the Intercultural Competence of Their Tutors in PBLProblem-based learning (PBL) has a history of over 30 years in university education. The conditions for and effects of PBL have been studied extensively. Many of these studies include the role of the tutors in PBL (Dolmans, Wolfhagen, Scherpbier, & Vleuten, 2003; Zwaal &Otting, 2004; Poikela, 2006; Van Berkel &Dolmans, 2006).
