Improving Nutrient Value of Crops: Applications of RNAi in Targeting Plant Metabolic Pathways,desired compound. RNAi is successfully done to achieve biofortification, reduction of alkaloids, allergenicity, etc. In more recent times, CRISPR/Cas9 has emerged as a more sophisticated technique to engineer the metabolic pathway. Here, we have discussed how RNAi technology has been used in various spears of plant sciences for crop improvement.

Mutagenomics for Functional Analysis of Plant Genome using CRISPR Library Screen,hers by targeted mutagenesis. Different high-throughput CRISPR screening methods were also used in plant functional genomics research. This chapter discusses about the targeted mutagenesis in plants by using CRISPR technology and various screening methods for CRISPR library.

Suppressor to Survival: RNAi as a Molecular Weapon in Arms Race Between Virus and Host, RNA silencing machinery. The present chapter aims to compile the plant defense strategies with the help of small RNA-omics and their mode of action involved during plant–pathogen interactions. Finally, we discuss the specific applications of the RNAi-based strategies and various suppression proteins used during the counterattack of plant viruses.
