Antiferromagnetic Ordering in Oxides with Sodium Chloride Structure,Antiferromagnetic oxides, MnO, FeO, CoO, and NiO, with sodium chloride structure are typical antiferromagnetic materials. In this chapter, we explain different characteristics between these materials and antiferromagnetic perovskite manganites, LaMnO., using the IEO model.

Itinerant Electron Model for Magnetic Metals,Based on the experimental results for valence electron state and the atomic physics theory for the electron distribution at discrete energy levels in an atom, our group (Qi et al. in Acta Phys Sin 66:027101, 2017;Tang et al. in Phys Rep 758:1, 2018) proposed a new itinerant electron model for magnetic metals (the IEM model).

Study on the Origin of Magnetic Ordering Energy for Magnetic Materials,As mentioned in Sects. . and ., in the traditional view (Dai and Qian in Ferromagnetism (in Chinese), Science Press, Beijing, 1987), the magnetic ordering energy (the origin of the Weiss molecular field) originated from a quantum-mechanical effect, which cannot be explained using any classical physical model.

Prospects and Challenges for Future Work,A series of magnetic ordering rules for magnetic oxides and metals were proposed by our group, which include the IEO model for magnetic oxides, the IEM model for magnetic metals, and the WEP model for the origin of magnetic ordering energy.
