Vitamin Disorders,ability of lysosomes. Foods plentiful in vitamin A include fish liver oil, eggs, butter, and green leafy and yellow vegetables. The minimum daily adult requirement for vitamin A is 5000 IU, while the usual therapeutic dose is 25,000–50,000 IU/day. Toxicity from ingestion of excessive amounts of vitamin A can be either acute or chronic.
