Interaction of Ethanol and the Glucocorticoids, in packaging or secretion of lipoproteins, represents a change in the phenotype of the hepatocyte. Underlying this phenotypic change is an alteration of gene expression. It has been the goal of our research program to attempt to understand at a molecular level how alcohol causes these changes in gene expression.
