Finally, I propose that AES actually replace the high-stakes testing program for accountability (and other) purposes, and provide a list of advantages for proceeding in this fashion.

The more “natural” and social forms of assessment hold out keys for improving school-based assessment, as well as indicators about core ethical issues.
