A Scalable High Performant Cholesky Factorization for Multicore with GPU Accelerators to 275 GFlop/s in double precision arithmetic. Compared with the performance of the embarrassingly parallel xGEMM over four GPUs, where no communication between GPUs are involved, our algorithm still runs at 73% and 84% for single and double precision arithmetic respectively.

Towards an Efficient Tile Matrix Inversion of Symmetric Positive Definite Matrices on Multicore Archat, for some variants, non trivial compiler techniques (array renaming, loop reversal and pipelining) need then to be applied to further increase the parallelism of the application. We present preliminary experimental results.

Scalability Studies of an Implicit Shallow Water Solver for the Rossby-Haurwitz Problem use multilevel hybrid Schwarz preconditioner to suppress the increase of the iteration number as the mesh is refined or more processors are used. We show by numerical experiments on the Rossby-Haurwitz problem that the fully implicit solver scales well to thousands of processors on an IBM BlueGene/L supercomputer.
