Advanced Computer Graphics Techniques for Volume Visualization,Computer Graphics provides techniques for visualizing graphical primitives which are derived from geometric elements. Data in real life — gathered by sensors — may represent a continuum. Data in real life does not correspond directly to abstract geometric elements.

The introduced curves and surfaces can be interpreted as functional splines, which fulfil geometric continuity conditions.

Numerically-Controlled Milling of CAD Surface Data,The article reviews CAM methods applied in the milling of freeform surfaces. Based on a brief presentation of the technological constraints, the main steps in the extraction of machine-understandable information from surface data are discussed. Special emphasis is laid on the problem of collisions between tool and surface model.
