描述.This book summarizes recent developments in the research area of quantum gravity phenomenology. A series of short and nontechnical essays lays out the prospects of various experimental possibilities and their current status. Finding observational evidence for the quantization of space-time was long thought impossible. In the last decade however, new experimental design and technological advances have changed the research landscape and opened new perspectives on quantum gravity. Formerly dominated by purely theoretical constructions, quantum gravity now has a lively phenomenology to offer. From high precision measurements using macroscopic quantum oscillators to new analysis methods of the cosmic microwave background, no stone is being left unturned in the experimental search for quantum gravity.. .This book sheds new light on the connection of astroparticle physics with the quantum gravity problem. Gravitational waves and their detection are covered. It illustrates findings from the interconnection between general relativity, black holes and Planck stars. Finally, the return on investment in quantum-gravitation research is illuminated. The book is intended for graduate students an

This fact represents an awesome technological and scientific achievement, comparable perhaps to the moment when Galileo used a telescope for the first time to contemplate the cosmos. On the Measurement of the Speed of Light in a Cavity, inside a cubic cavity and calculating . through .. The theoretical analysis is done by combining arguments from quantum parameter estimation theory and general relativity. This leads to a lower bound on the uncertainty depending on the size of the cavity, the measuring time and the number of measurements.

The Search for a Tiny Hint from Quantum Gravity in the Cosmic Relic Radiation, ind tests for such a theory. In this essay, we will describe why this is so difficult and argue that the most promising possibility might be a tiny effect seen in the earliest light that we can observe from the beginning of the universe.

,Gravitational Waves: The “Sound” of the Universe, roduced on December 26, 2015, confirmed the beginning of an era in which the astronomy of gravitational waves will allow us to contemplate the Universe, or rather, to “hear” it, in a totally new way, and that surely will provide us with many and interesting surprises.
