Supplementing Reading in EFL at Primary School Level in the Czech Republicfford them. With respect to this fact, the chapter will focus on reading and how it is presented in textbooks used in teaching English to young learners. The positives and negatives of such textbook supplementing will be discussed. Suggestions on how to make reading more attractive for young learners will be made.
