Rosalind Latiner Raby,Edward J. ValeauIn 1785, the Frenchman .. described the pseudobranch of the teleost for the first time. Since then, the function of this organ has been questioned.. The discovery of a group of receptors at this site casts new light on the problem and has led the author to propose a function based on new morphological and physiological data.
